氧化铝空心球制品在航天、原子能、电子工业和新能源等行业广泛的应用。与其它轻质隔热材料相比，氧化物空心球砖隔热材料的特点是安全使用温度高、强度大和热导率小。他们的体积密度比同成分的致密制品低50%~60%，可承受高温火焰的冲击，直接作为高温窑炉的内衬。
